Where’s Podcasting Headed in 2025 (and Beyond)?
In an excellent recap post, The Podglomerate stitched together 18 previously-recorded interviews with podcast industry leaders.
The industry had its shares of highs and lows in 2024. But it does feel as though a collective momentum will carry podcasting through the end of the year and set the stage for a big 2025.
One of the catalysts to said momentum? The US Presidential Election, of course. Nearly a quarter of podcast execs interviewed in the piece made mention of politics. In fact, Podchaser’s very own Bradley Davis predicts politics will continue to play a major role in podcasting, regardless of election cycles. Here’s Bradley’s quote:
Two other themes emerged in the predictions piece: AI and AdTech.
Nearly a third of industry experts interviewed discussed AI’s role in expediting many tedious aspects of podcasting.
While AdTech remains an unignorable part of podcasting’s future, especially with the rise of video podcasting.
